JettRide 2010 is a 9 week, cross country cycle tour for 20 teens, who will raise funds and awareness to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  Collectively, they will cycle thousands of miles while educating communities across the United States on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Our marketing plan includes establishing an online presence to promote the JettRide mission, Jett Foundation will use relationships with its strategic partners; Cure Duchenne, Corona Del Mar, CA; Romito Foundation, Firestone, CO; Ryan's Quest, Hamilton, NJ; and Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA; to help spread awareness about the ride.  

Other more traditional methods will be used as well;

  • A direct mail campaign, involving sending information to area residents and potential leads, as community members affected by Duchenne.
  • Word of mouth, between peers, family members and colleagues. 
  • Public relations campaign that includes securing placements in local medial outlets including television and radio.  Public relation efforts will include pitching stories to journalists, writing articles for local publications and promoting events through local press releases.  

Online methods will include; 

  • Internet advertising - this effort will include tags and searce engine optimization of the JettRide website.  The effort will generate interest in the JettRide and DMD from the online community and general public as it pertains to muscular dystrophy, cycling and youth.
  • Email blasts -  will be sent to leads generated from demographic information, strategic industry partners, and philanthropic partners.  This will reinforce brand building among the Duchenne community
  • Social media networks - the JettRide will create a series of opportunity to attract attention on social networking outlets, to continue building grass routes awareness of muscular dystrophy, cycling and youths.  Social networking sites are an effective way to benefit from word of mouth on the web, and generate interest in the ride and muscular dystrophy from the general public.

Your name would be prominently displayed through print, TV, media, radio, town-hall style meetings, and informal grass routes interaction as JettRiders bring the message of duchenne to thousands of people from all walks of life.
